Maflower Case - 5.png

The Context

In 2025, through a government supplier, I provided over 9+ months of consistently recognised, continuously high-performance services in a central government department operating an estate of Critical National Infrastructure, providing crucial services for tens of millions of individuals and corporate bodies. My services were consistently recognised and highly appreciated, never being subject to a dispute. Meanwhile, in absolute good-faith, as part of my professional and contractual duties, I respectfully reported some serious, fact-based, data-driven concerns in public interest, regarding areas including but not limited to cybersecurity, data integrity, operational resilience, value-for-money efficiencies, and accuracy and completeness of upward reporting of a strategic programme status – status of a programme that was qualified by C-suite multiple times as the "most strategic delivery of 2025".

The Whistleblow

Overall leadership engagement with some key matters I reported thus far looked and sounded profoundly problematic. Therefore, on 7 November 2025, I submitted a further disclosure email via my own line of reporting, expressly framed as a formal "Whistleblowing" submission. This was regarding serious concerns over accuracy of upward reporting, overall value for money, severe risk posture including cyber-risks, and seriously problematic engagements with my prior, fact-based reports of the same.

The Abrupt Removal

Exactly one working day later, I was summarily dismissed without any prior notice, explanation, or a right to respond. My access was cut mid-meeting without giving me a chance of even a brief farewell to my team, leaving my professional reputation in tatters. My services were consistently praised till including the last working day and never disputed. Yet, I was denied payment of all my services since 01 October 2025, a period I had worked days and nights, including many weekends - to reduce the delivery slippage of a programme that was running well behind schedule - a programme that was explicitly qualified by C-suite as "the most strategic delivery of 2025".

Making The Case

Under UK law, I have a right to challenge this dismissal and claim all my unpaid service fees as well as all other financial and other types of detriments caused on me. However, I am at a profound disadvantage in extreme imbalance of powers and stark inequality of arms. While the institutions involved have unlimited tax-payer-funded legal resources, I have been financially and psychologically drained to reach a Tribunal in a meaningful capacity to participate. I need significant finances to file legal cases with proper legal expertise at ET and other jurisdictions. Without immediate funding for legal representation, this case of public interest will be silenced by default, in practical terms.

Short Introduction

Milton is my preferred first name, borrowed from our wonderful city Milton Keynes that once was home to me. Amongst my identities I wholly and proudly own, I am here as a proud British citizen, having not only great privileges offered by my citizenship, but also serious civic responsibilities it entails at an individual level.

In my professional life, I am a senior technologist with approximately 25 years of multidisciplinary experience in IT industry, mainly in public and private organisations - the last 10 years in the United Kingdom, and predominantly in government institutions.

Before and after all, far from anything special or saint, I think I am just aiming to be  a decent individual and a plain, simple human. When truly human, a plain, simple one would be good enough.
